Graveminder by Melissa Marr

Graveminder is an American Gothic Novel that centers around the fictional town of Claysville where everyone that is born there has to die there, or there can be grave consequences.

In the novel we meet Rebekkah Barrow, who was not actually born in Claysville, but still considers it home as her beloved grandmother Maylene still lives there. Although Maylene is found dead in her house and now Rebekkah must return for her funeral where she finds out that something is off about Maylene's death and with the help of her first love, Byron she has to find out the secrets of the town.

I have never read anything from Melissa Marr before, so this was my first novel from her and I really enjoyed it. The story takes a while to really get started but once you are into the first page, it is hard to put down.

Marr has a way of creating worlds and characters that makes them not only believable but vibrant and outstanding all at the same time. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books with a paranormal twist. I give this book 4/5 Stars.
