Arranged by Catherine McKenzie

Arranged is a new book by Catherine McKenzie (author of Spin, read my review for Spin HERE). In Arranged we meet Anne who at the beginning of the book leaves her cheating and unapologetic boyfriend and starts a new life.

The only problem is, Anne is well into her Thirties and is starting to wonder if she even knows how to make a relationship work. So, when she finds a business card on the street for a company that specializes in arranged marriages, she decides to give it a shot.

Anne is one of the most realistic characters I have come across in a novel in quite a long time. She is insecure, down to earth, and completely relatable. This book was written very well and there are twists and turns that I honestly did not see coming. I found myself thinking of the book and wondering what was going to happen next and how Anne would handle it while at work, grocery shopping, and even while watching T.V., making me turn it off to find out what happens.

This book is a must read and receives 4 stars. For more information on Arranged click on the link below or check out the authors website at http://catherinemckenzie.com/

More Like Her by Liza Palmer

More Like Her is a story about 3 friends: Frannie, Jill, and Lisa. Frannie is the central character and she has just come out of a relationship with what she thought was the perfect guy. When Emma comes to the Markham school and is seemingly Perfect. She is beautiful, smart, has a great career, and a perfect marriage, and the three friends all want to be more like Emma. That is until everything they thought they knew about Emma is tested when she is killed in front of them by her seemingly perfect husband.

There are thousands of books on the market that can get considered "a good book" but rarely do you come across a book that is so good, it makes you change the way you think.

"More Like Her" is that kind of book. While shelved as a Chick Lit, this book is much more than that. It has three well developed characters that have flaws but are still easy to read. The book made me laugh, cry, and sigh in happiness. More Like Her is literally one of the best novels I have read in a very long time.

I give More Like Her 5 Stars, and would recommend everyone run out and get a copy today.
